What People Are Saying About Outback Steakhouse

In Short – Boomerangs, Aussie flags, kangaroo portraits and faux aboriginal art honor the homeland's wilderness, but Outback delivers a polished version of rusticity with varnished blond-wood booths with matching wainscoting and casually uniformed waitstaff. Besides more than a half-dozen cuts of steak, diners can pick from large-portioned entrees like ribs, chops and shrimp or chicken "on the barbie." The Bloomin' Onion, a large onion dipped in batter and deep-fried, is an appetizer with a following.

- What to Drink:
- If you're not a fan of Foster's, try another Australian beer: Newcastle Brown Ale.
You will be happier with a burger from a fast food place!

I wold like to say that on the positive side was that it was clean and the waitress was nice as can be. But 90% of a restaurants worth is the quality of the food ! Big let down!
I ordered a Porterhouse medium rare. My Porterhouse came with a piece of meat on the right side of the bone about 2inches around. It was more like a NY Strip. I like NY Strips but it is not what I ordered. Two it was so over seasoned I could not even taste the meat. I complained and was brought a new steak after having to talk with two people. Everyone else had completed their meals before mine had even arrived. The appetizers where sub par except for the coconut shrimp. Two people in our group ordered two apple martinis and they came served in wine glasses and unrecognizable to the taste. One other guest just ate her prime rib even though it was tough and flavorless. The bill for four of us came to 163.00 plus gratuity. This is not a steak house so maybe they should stop charging like one.

Outback used to be one of our favorite restaurants several years ago...the steaks used to be the best...we feel the quality has gone down hill since they have gotten so poplular and so big...the cuts of meat are not the greatest...their Filets are fatty
