Just finished at this place, the photos used in their advertising are from other bars. The location itself is pretty much a dump. The class was helpful, none of the "instructors" know each other which I find odd. All I can say is dont expect much. From other bartenders I have spoke with they have a reputation in the restaurant industry as being shady, thus getting a certificate from them is a help, but certainly doesn't equate to a job. The actual bar is constructed of 2X4s and plywood. Our instructor hardly even filled the bottles with the necessary colored water. Just be wary.

SUCH A FUN EXPERIENCE!!. This class was everything I imagined it would be! I got to get behind their bar and practice just as if I was already in a real bar. The instructor was very informative and helpful. recommend this to anyone of any age!

GREAT class, ABC bartending school. I just finished the class at ABC on Monroe rd. and was VERY SATISFIED. All the Instructors and staff were very easy to work with. The class was informative and was easy to learn. I learned alot in the two weeks. Im glad i chose ABC and would highly recomend over any othe school. Thanks ABC

Great class. ABC Bartending School was a great experience for me. I enjoyed the whole bar set up for a classroom, and the instructors were amazing. The text book was very helpful as well. I was able to make as many notes as I needed to help me remember certain things and certain drinks. The hands on training really helped me improve and understand everything even more, as well. I loved the class, and every time I needed help I was assisted. I highly recommend this program. The class is also affordable. After I was finished with the class, the job placement program was very helpful. They helped me search through a variety of places and I found a job in less than a week! Thanks Dale

Great Instructors. The set up is great and the instructors are wonderful. I learned a good bit of drink recipes within the course. I took the weekend class and was able to pass the certification test with confidence and fast. Great School.

ABC Bartending School. Really good class. I took the school in the evenings and got certified. Had a good time with other students, Dale helped us alot. I liked the hand on experience and real bar setting. Learned more than i thought i would.

Great Experience. I attended Abc bartending school on Monroe rd three weeks ago and was really impressed. I learned a lot from Dale, and Amanda. I didnt think i was bartender material, but Abc proved me wrong with the hands on training. They also helped me obtain a New bartending job. Glad i took the course. Would reccomend to anyone considering bartending. Thanks ABC.

Honesty, Please.... Short Explanation: There are fraudulent 5-star reviews for this company... so buyer beware. I don't know about you guys, but if a company has the indecency to regular post counterfeit reviews and slander their competition (see below for the evidence I uncovered), then how can I trust them to treat me as a customer? I was seriously going to purchase a course from them, but have decided against it based on what I found. I'm truly appalled and disappointed. :(

Long Explanation (what I emailed directly to CitySearch for investigation):

After careful investigation, I have come to the conclusion that someone at this business has been regularly posting fraudulent reviews. As I was thinking of purchasing a course from this business, I looked through all the ratings and found the ratings rather suspicious-looking. The reviewers either gave it a 5-star rating with a STELLAR review (not even saying a mediocre thing about the place) or the reviews were REALLY bad (things like the company scammed them out of money). After looking into the 5-star ratings further, I realized that nearly all of them reviewed ONLY this business (at all 3 locations) and there will be 2 reviews from the same day, a few month gap, and then 2 reviews on the same day again. Most of them also have IDs with the word "bartender" in it.

But the REAL sign that they are fraudulent is that some of the reviews are the EXACT SAME over 2 IDs. For example, girlybartender's review for the Fayetteville location (4/2/2010) is exactly the same as mixemup's review for the Charlotte location (3/31/2010). Jenbartender's review for the Greenville location (11/24/2008) is exactly the same as the Mandasaywhat's review for the Charlotte location (11/25/2008). And Scorpio4Lyfe's review for the Charlotte location (3/1/2010) is the same as carolinabartender's review for the Greenville location (4/7/2010). To make matters worse, it seems they are slandering their competition, since Mandasaywhat's profile gave the exact same terrible review for two competing bartending schools (Charlotte's Bartending School and Absolute Bartending College), only switching out a name. The review even has a "plug" for ABC Bartending School.

As a regular CitySearch user, I believe that accurate and honest reviews are of the upmost importance. I hope that someone looks into this matter so that people aren't mislead to patron a dishonest company that does something as deceitful as regularly posting false 5-star reviews for their company.

Good Bartending Class. I attended the Abc Bartending school, and enjoyed learning the drinks. Everyone in my class were very nice and friendly, had a good time in class. Very good teachers. They worked with my schedule, and got me certified in three weeks. Thanks abc

Highly Recomended Bartending Class, Abc Bartending School. Great class, learned more than i thought i would. I put off going to bartending school for a long time, but am glad i went to abc. Would recomend class. I am a non drinker and was afraid it would be hard to learn, but the instructors made it easy.
