Qc's best kept secret. I dined at LavaJava Saturday night . The setting was wonderful as was the food! When you walk in its set up as an affluent yet comfortable coffe shop. When you step in the back it's design meets that of an upscale restaurant. Just fabulous! I will be back.
Great Sunday Spot.
Went there last sunday for Dinner and everything was great !
Scott took great care of us ( thanks for letting me get the Bill) , food was excellent especially The baked brie appetizer and the stuffed chicken entree.
Mimosas and Bloody maries are 3.50 every sunday, you can't beat that!
Will return very soon.
A Delightful Surprise....
When you first see Lava Java you don't expect a whole lot. Even the name makes you think of a trendy coffee shop (which it is). But when you discover the fine dining in the back you'll want to return again and again.
I went with 2 other people. All the food was exceptional. Appetizers flawless, dinner excellent and dessert to die for! The wine selection isn't vast but has some wonderful picks. Total cost for 3, approximately $75.00 plus tip. A bargain!
I had ordered a steak, rare, which was the only real error. It had been grilled at too low a temperature. The outside was not very browned and it was closer to medium-rare, but the actual flavor was exceptional. The rest of the meal was excellent as was the service.
Front of house is casual, back of house is elegant, meeting the needs of most.
