Before Cantina changed ownership, my husband and I would go there a couple of times a month. The staff knew us by name and the food was fantastic as were the prices. However, after the ownership change, the menu went from food that was unique and delicious to essentially a taco menu with a few, maybe five, "authentic" Mexican dishes.

Also, the prices are now excessively high. My husband and I went there our last time and spent $70 with only one drink!

Such a shame. I miss the old Cantina 1511. We don't need another ordinary Mexican restaurant--Cantina had something special.

Disappointed. We have eaten here several times and had never had a complaint but last night, our fajitas were burned and I could not eat the chicken at all. Luckily my husband did not mind as much. When we were finished, our server asked how everything was and I asked her if she wanted my honest opinion! She told me that she would get the manager and so we pretty much critiqued the whole meal for him. We were nice, he was nice. We had ordered one beer and one margarita with our meal and refried beans which were not eaten b/c they were overly salted and had no taste.

It would have made us very happy if he had told us that the drinks were on the house...a beer and a margarita would not have cost them much at all and it would have made us v appreciative. As it is, we will not be going back.

Great place for drinks in Ballantyne. With the limited selection of decent bars in Ballantyne...our work group has gone to Cantina for drinks and it works great. Food is always excellent, but the bar area is great for a group get together if it isn't too big (your group that is).

The last time we went was on a Thursday for a Margarita's followed by a few beers and apps. My only suggestion would be to work on that Margarita menu....our server had to go through it for 10 minutes with us, it was like a calculus equation figuring out what the price would be. Besides that, keep up the good work.

Great Lunch Spot!. I had a lunch appoinmtent at Cantina 1511 in the Stonecrest Shopping Center this week and let me tell you this is a wonderful spot. I sometimes forget how convenient it is to the Ballantyne area especially with it being located right off of 485 at the Rea Road exit but can assure you with the customer service and great food I will be back sooner than later. Our waitress, Angela who was also working the beautiful bar, was so attentive from keeping our drinks filled to making sure we never ran out fresh chips. Once our food arrived (I had the Enchiladas, always one of my favorites) the excellent service continued until we walked out the door and back to our office. Do yourself a favor and stop by for a real treat.

great food, service and atmosphere. its been a while since i've been here but... i do remember excellent food, a very knowledgable waiter, and great ambiance... now that i'm thinking of it... i need to go again real soon!
