Recommended by a work colleague, stopped by for dinner this evening. little issue with the language barrier when first walking in, but after the chips and salsas arrived it was all good. Let start with the salsa, the pico was the chunkiest, when so well with the chips, the hot salsa, had chunks itself. I ordered the casa asada, which was tender, you could cut it with your fork. We started with the spicy shrimp, and these required a little work to cut out from the shell, but oh so goos with the chilled veggies it was with. My friend ordered the polla asada, tender and a great kick to them. Dessert sopa pillias..yum!
Tres Pesos is tasty, cheap and chill. The chips are homemade and delish, and they have a choice of 3 salsas: a chunky tomato and onion mix that's closer to pico di gallo, a traditional red salsa with cilantro, and a fiery green salsa that they'll bring if you request more heat, which is perfecto. The fishbowl margaritas come with fresh lime and the food, pretty standard Mexican fare, is what you'd expect: hearty and tasty, if not especially healthy. A reliable bet.
This place is pretty good. The chips are thin and the salsa is good. The service is good too. The only downside is both locations are closed on Sunday!
I've only been to Tres Pesos a few times, but everytime we visit, it is a great experience. The chips and salsa are fresh, along with the ingredients of my meal. I had one of their specialty burritos that was way too much to eat in one sitting...make sure you bring your appetite. I'm glad to see they've update the outside of the restaurant because before it looked a little outdated. I would recommend Tres to anyone looking for a lot of foot at a reasonable price.
Leave full for cheap. You can come in hungry & leave full for cheap. They have free chips & salsa to pass the time till your food arrives
Only positive things. I have only heard positive things and after a horrible experience just down the road this place looks inviting.
Great service, great food. GREAT SERVICE AND SO WAS THE FOOD. I HAD THE CHILI RELANOS AND SHE HAD THE STEAK,CHICKEN & SHRIMP FAJITAS. THE CHILIS WERE EXCELLENT AND HAD BIG CHUNKS OF TENDER CHICKEN AND WERE HUGE. THE SALSAS AND PICO WERE ALL EXCELLENT. THE SHRIMP WERE MORE PLENTIFUL THAN THE PREVIOUS VISIT, AND WERE EXCELLENT. THE CHICKEN WAS SMALLER PIECES THAN LAST TIME, BUT TASTED GREAT. THERE WAS PLENTY OF FOOD, FOR SURE. THE RESTAURANT WASN'T VERY BUSY TONIGHT AND THE WAITRESS DID A VERY NICE JOB. WE REALLY ENJOYED THE EVENING.
delicious addition to dinner of chips, cheese dip and salsa.. I stopped at Tres Pesos on my way home from work one night to get a delicious addition to dinner of chips, cheese dip and salsa.
Large portions. Very well prepared. Large portions. Chips/salsa with all meals. Wait staff very attentive (and attractive!)
