Great Authentic Italian!. I really enjoyed this restaurant. The pesto pasta with potatoes and green beans was amazing, and gnocchi were perfectly tender. The only (not very valid) comment I have is that I would like the espresso to be served with a lemon twist. Overall, very enjoyable. I can't wait to visit again!

Never to return!. Being a guest in a group of 20, the experience could not have been worse. Seated at 7:30pm and rushed to order. Before receiving our desserts, the host of our group was pulled from the table and told our time was up and we needed to leave, it was 8:45pm. Desserts were served and the manager/owner approached the host of our group at the table yelling so the whole restaurant could hear, saying we were rude and needed to leave. We were just served dessert! We asked for tea and coffee, but we were told we could not have any. Never have I seen a manager treat a group in such a manner. Never have I been in a restaurant where 20 people ordering from a menu were expected to eat in under an hour and a half. The food was very good; however, the manager/owner left a bad taste.

Well worth it for a special occasion. I took my wife there prior to our company Christmas party and the atmosphere was wonderful. The service was fast and attentive, the food was well-portioned and very tasty, and the price was not outrageous. Will definitely patron again.

Truly a memorable experience. I visited Luce last Friday evening to celebrate my birthday. I had been in a few weeks prior with a group of four and was so pleased I wanted to share the experience with my friend visiting from Atlanta. Jeff and Jeremy were outstanding servers, incredibly attentive and helpful. Augusto, the owner, visited the table and again recommended a fabulous bottle of wine for a reasonable price. We then closed our menus and allowed him to decide our dinner. We were not disappointed!!! A sampling of different entrees continued to arrrive, allowing us to try different things on the menu without overstuffing ourselves. The ambiance is beautiful, and quiet to allow for easy conversation. Augusto is exceptional and truly knows what customer service means. He is there to please. I would recommend Luce for any occasion - it was truly one of the best dining experiences I've ever had!

Italy in the South?. When our host suggested Italian food in Charlotte, we immediately thought, "let's hope the wine is good." The wine list was excellent and we greatly enjoyed a Tuscan Sangiovese. To our surprise the menu was simple and the food was great. We tried the half & half pasta plates ( the special rigatoni was home made and perfectly al dente) and my sea bass over risotto with asparagus was perfect. Warm, fresh baked bread and a olive oil & bean dip also were tried and enjoyed. We'll go back.

great place. I enjoyed my lobster and pasta combination. The mixture of red sauce and cream was very smooth. The waiter, Nathan, provided great service and was very friendly and sociable. The hostess was also very friendly and nice. My wife's meal was also excellent. The salad was exquisite with shaved cheese that gave it a delicate taste. Her penee alonorma with basil oil was perfectly prepared. The price was not too expensive in that the lobster dish was only $19. There was a parade outside but they went to great lengths to quiet the place and make us comfortable.

Not Quite Sure. I probably should have stuck to my server's advice, but none-the-less, the ravioli stuffed with a veal/cheese blend accompanied with the house salad wasn't extrodinary, yet wasn't bad. She explained it wasn't one of the most popular dishes, but I had my mind set - oh well. Great wine selection, though. As far as the service and the overall experience, I would definately go back. Only this time I'll heed her advice like I did on the wine selection (tasty tuscan Rosso).

Excellent expirence!!!. I always go to Toscana a sister resturaunt of Luce and believed that Chef Otto Graham couldn't have topped his menu there. All the dishes are prepared with the freshest ingredients(i know because i toured the kitchen) and presented in such a way that makes you just want to stare at your plate and take in the aroma. I have been to a lot of restaraunts in Charlotte and this is definetly a treat. The staff make your expirence a great one. Worth every penny.
