This is my favorite Restaurant. My Husband & I went to Savannah Red on our 28th wedding anniversary. The Waite staff was the best I have ever had; they knew the menu and helped us make our selections. Which were delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant to any one but especially if you are trying to have a great dinner in a romantic place this is it. I am making a reservation today for dinner New Years Eve.

So impressed!. Savannah Red is an absolute GEM! This small restaurant is nestled inside the Marriott City Center Hotel and boasts an incredible wine list. The staff is very knowledgeable of food and wine and truly loves both, a rarity amoungst restaurant staff throughout Charlotte. The ambiance is delightful and service impeccable. The menu is ever-changing and has a few great signatures. On the night of my visit, our server Eva guided us through the menu with ease and ensured us of our selections. her expert wine recommendations were spot on and the meal went beautifully with the wine! This is a visit that everyone should try. We are definatly coming back to Savannah Red!

Upscale dining with a cozy feel. My husband and I celebrated our 3month anniversary (newlyweds!) at Savannah Red while we were in town for the weekend. It was wonderful all-round. The service was friendly and not snobby, the food was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere was romantic. We started out with the "Lobster Cobbler" - it was divine. The chef who came up with that recipe should receive an award. The saffron ice-cream that melts into the savory lobster filling is lovely. Our entrees, Steak & Eggs and Shrimp & Grits, were delicious. My steak was perfectly cooked, and the egg over creamed spinach complimented it well. My husband loved his shrimp and grits... and I must agree, they were the smoothest, creamiest grits we had ever tasted.

Last but DEFINITELY not least... we finished the meal by sharing the signature "Krispy Kreme bread pudding". It arrived with bourbon flames for a nice presentation.... but the bread pudding itself... was heaven on a plate. It could certainly put a smile on my face ANY day.

The chefs at this place are doing an outstanding job! DO try if you are in Charlotte... it's a gem!

krispy kreme bread pudding. need i say more, this restaurant serves krispy kreme bread pudding!!!! how exciting. we had such a lovely time at savannah red. it is a little gem hidden away. a foodies haven- go now before the word spreads and you won't be able to get a seat.
