Good que, great hush puppies. This was my favorite restaurant on the west side, and a light in the Charlotte BBQ scene. They had the best hush puppies. Unfortunately, the place isn't open anymore - it just stopped opening one day in early 2006, no sign on the door, and no other indication of what the heck happened. Sadness, indeed.

Best Kept Secret!!!. Found this resturant on CitySearch today at 11am, ate there at 1pm. Awesome. Not much to choose from in the West Charlotte area and this is a gem. Great service, great food, great price. I will return soon and often.

Smokehouse THE BEST!!. If you haven't tried George's ribs, Q, or brisket at the Smokehouse on Wilkinson Blvd., you are depriving yourself of THE best in the Charlotte area. The man knows how to put serious Q with all the trimmings on your plate. Don't even talk to me about Sonny's ( what a joke!) or Bubba's (passable at best)...this is the real deal. Great service too. Only problem, he's not open for dinner or the weekends...gotta' get your Q fix at lunch only!
