Good stuff!. First time there, and overall pretty good. The flavor of the pud thai (as they call it) was really good, but could of used more kick. I had the #4 on the "heat chart", and had to go to the spice tray to add a bit of spice. The staff is really great and I will go there again, but just get the # 5 next time. Nice place!!!!!

Pad Thai recipe changed over last few yrs. Many years ago, we frequented Bangkok Ocha for its amazing pad thai. The balance of flavors was perfect. A couple of years ago, however, the pad thai flavor changed. At first, we thought it was a fluke. After many pad thai orders over the course of a year, it was obvious that it was a deliberate recipe change - or chef change. Instead of a balance of flavors, it now tastes like pure vinegar. The sweet/lightly tangy/nutty flavor is gone and just sour vinegar with a few peanuts is all you taste. It's so lightly dressed as to be almost flavorless except for the very strong sourness of the vinegar. What a terrible thing to happen to what was once the best pad thai in Charlotte. It's shocking that the owners have done nothing to restore their once amazing recipe. I am very disappointed in them. The other dishes are mostly oily. So, unless you want pure vinegar or heavy oil as your sauce, I'd avoid this place and go to Thai Orchid in Charlotte instead.

Where everybody knows your name..... Bangkok Ocha is the best-kept secret in Charlotte! The food is fresh and fabulous, and the waiters/waitresses are awesome! I have been going there since 2001, and I feel like it's "my" place! I find that the staff remembers lots of people names an preferences, and it's hard to find places like that anymore. After my first three visits, they realized I was becoming a "regular" and introduced themselves....remembering my name ever since! My personal favorite on the menu is Pud Woon Sen (#41 on the dinner menu) with chicken, but I also love all their curry dishes. I've always had wonderful meals there, and I love to take out-of-town visitors there. This is a mom and pop business I'm happy to support in Charlotte! Highly recommend!

Pad Thai is AWESOME. I've tried this place twice, had the Pad Thai, twice. Dinner pad thai was so so....Lunch pad Thai was incredible. Definitely worth a shot.

Here's an award : THE WORST of the WORST!. Loving Thai food and having been to many Thai Restuarants in Charlotte as well as in other states, dining at BANGKOK OCHA is the WORST of the WORST! Their chef do not know how to cook what is already on their VERY limited menu. To make things worst, the attitude of their young male and female wait person stinks! It is not even worth a star!

High on eating out list. My family loves this place, we bring everyone who visits Charlotte here and have had no complaints. It's a small family type atmosphere, the staff is very friendly and accomidating. Sure they don't have a huge menu but it changes everyday as does the soup for lunch each day. If you're in Charlotte and are in the mood for Thai...this is the place.

Best Thai in the City. Are you guys kidding? Not worth it? Worse restaurant? Wow. I am a regular and the service is always great and it is only outdone by the food. I would recommend it to anyone who wants really good Thai food. One bad experience by one person should not count as heavily by a significant amount of extrememly positive experiences.

Very dis-respectful. Worst resturant to be in, not at all kid-friendly.Hostess is always in bad and awful mood. Would not recommend to any body. It is waste of money and time. Menu is very limited and does not have option making food milder.
