Tips for Peninsula China Bistro

Joined in with a work lunch order... I ordered the sushi lunch combo... yuck! when sushi fish is aromatic... it isn't fresh... Period! Not to mention it was warm... Never again! I agree with other posters... we have great sushi here in LKN... this is not one of those places!

Excellent cuisine/environment. Average service.. Excellent cuisine. Wonderful environment. Our server needed to be more attentive in refilling tea, water, drinks, and communicating with us in general. Front desk clerk must be new. I'm sure in time, she will develop a better attitude, smile, and understand the functional characteristics of the restaurant business.

Best asian cuisine. First time there after its new renovation, 2 words luxurious and beautiful.

I was amazed at how much it had changed since the last time I was there, (a while ago) although not a single thing looks the same, the food is still as good as ever.

The management was changed to the previous chefs so the food is still the same but better than ever because they have added japanese cuisine!

Now I know what your thinking, not again, another asian restaurant with sushi...

Although it has the regular sushi rolls, their specialty rolls are just as scrumptious as their chinese entrees, unique, tasty and elegant.

I will guarantee you have never had anything like it. (I've been to enough japanese restaurants and this is the first time I've seen such a creative twist to sushi)

Plus its the only place you will find a "hot girl roll", haha.

But my favorite is the babbera roll (sp?). It was rectangular shaped (which was strangely appetizing for me since sushi is usually circular...it was inspired by napolean desserts?) sandwiching neat layers of rice and spicy tuna with a layer of salmon and eel on top and a sweet sauce on the bottom.

Now if you're going to go please take a few friends with you so you can try a few sushi dishes because one is not enough to realize the potential of this restaurant.

Also, get the tea ! it comes in a delicate tea set with the CUTEST little cups!

We had tempura and dumplings for our appetizer and both came with really amazing sauce. Get the dumplings ;).

Okay I could go on and on but the environment is wonderful and food is great so what are you waiting for?

BEST Chinese I ever had. This is the best Chinese restaurant I have ever been to. Their food is delicious and its presented in a beautiful way surrounded by thinly sliced fruit and/or vegetables.

I STRONGLY recommend giving it a try. My absolute favorite is their seafood hot and sour soup. YUM!

great food. The Peninsula China Bistro is a little more upscale than your dime-a-dozen chinese strip mall restaurants, and probably falls somewhere in between those and a place such as P.F. Chang's.

This is evident by the goldfish pond just inside the entrance, with huge, giant goldfish swimming around!

The restaurant is fairly open, almost a studio-like feel, and the service is prompt and courteous.

The food is also excellent...my favorite is the egg drop soup and the Peninsula fried rice. I also enjoyed the sweet n' sour chicken, which is always a good measuring stick for a Chinese eatery.

The tea, which is usually atrocious at most Chinese restaurants, is not bad here, and that was a pleasant surprise.

They also offer delivery, which is a nice plus.

You can expect to spend $15-20 if an appetizer is involved.

This place has now become my go-to location for local Chinese food.

Wonderful Chinese Food / Resonable Price. This is one of the gems of Cornelius. A lovely restaurant with consistantly great Asian dishes. A plus for those on a tight budget is their Chef specials that include a choice of appetizer, main dish and wine or beer!
