Delightful!. This precious little cafe is perfect for a quick bite. Choose from their eclectic selections to satisfy your any tastes. My coworker and I just went over and had our meal sitting at one of their 5 or 6 patio tables. I had the Black Forest Ham and Smoked Gouda sandwich. A perfect balance of sweet and smoky! This cafe is a must have as one of your regular haunts to catch lunch or a healthy snack. Try choosing a combination of differenct sandwiches and salads to take on a picnic, too.

A fabulous little lunch-plus-takeout spot, from one of Charlotte's best-loved caterers.. The Scene
Golden taupe-colored stucco walls provide a Tuscan atmosphere, and the oversized windows make you feel as if you're sitting streetside in a European cafe. A half-dozen tables, big enough for two or three friends, give this eatery an intimate feel.

The Food
Soups, salads and sandwiches are listed on the unassuming menu, but these aren't your average lunchtime plates. Sandwiches include dilled tuna salad with capers, and basil Parmesan chicken salad. Soups range from the "Larry Lobster Bisque" to "Black Bean Mombassa." The turkey, brie and granny smith is at once moist, rich and tart, while the veggie sandwich of the day comes grilled to perfection. Don't miss the family-size take-home refrigerated containers, filled with temptations such as very veggie lasagna, artichoke heart hors d'oeuvres and spinach and Swiss crescents.
