Blah.... The food was blah and the service was worse. We watched a couple seated after us get their food before we even got our drinks. I wouldn't be as upset with an apology, but the waitress didn't even recognize our long wait. I will not return to this restaurant, although many of my friends love eating here.

Decent food but lacks attention to detail. I have had some great specials for dinner and breakfast but overall I would rate the food as average. Could easily be a much better if the staff put a little more effort and care in the details.. For instance my breakfast eggs were undercooked and no real cream or butter for coffee and pancakes.. all ultra processed dairy packets.

On weekends see the bartender Ben. Great food, breakfast is amazing and served all day, I love their she-crab soup, it's to die for. Anything you want to substitute or a request to make your meal better they are more than happy to accomidate. On weekends go to the bar and see Ben. He has been working there for the longest time and is super friendly. He knows exactly what he is doing. Having trouble figuring out what you want?

Ask Ben. He has gone to school and studied for that exact thing. Need suggestions for a good drink? talk to him and he can mix anything up for you. Want to know anything about wine? Ask Ben, no one knows more than he does.

bad service. I just went there last Sunday and there were a lot people. The atmosphere was ok, but the server was just rude. She didn't come by after I order, and when I wasn't even finish my 1/3 of the plat, she thew bill on my table. Ya, not "place" or "put", but thew on my table. Then when I was half finished, she came by and knock on my table, and when I looked at her, she just turned her face away and left. I was so mad and can't have anything anymore. So I paied and left.

The food, special omelet, wasn't so good. I don't know why every table ordered it. The toasts were over done, with butter leaking out, and the potato with onion just so greasy and lack of flavor. The seasoning was just nothing far from the rice we got on Mex. plate. The egg cover was even organe! and was having sausage and avocado inside. with a lot of cheese. Well, if you like such things, you will be pleased. But for me, I was at Charlotte over the weekend and was expecting something different than what I can get from TX.

A reliable and safe choice for breakfast. Meal reviewed: Breakfast

Eddie's Place is a reliable and safe choice for breakfast. The service is excellent and the food is very good. You can expect the standard breakfast fare with a few specials . I highly recommend that you arrive before 10:00 am on weekends for breakfast - Eddie's is very popular and you can expect to wait awhile if you arrive any later than that.

Best breakfast in town. Always a great experience. Good prices, good service, the wait is never too long. It's home-cooking at its best.

Great Sunday Breakfast. In a city with almost no good Sunday breakfast choices, Eddie's is a standout! My family enjoys breakfast every Sunday at Eddie's. We've been going for nearly 10 years now and hope to keep the streak up for as long as we can.

Menu Has Everything!. This is just the greatest little restaurant that serves everything! My kids get breakfast every time we visit, no matter the time of day. The she-crab soup is the best I've had anywhere. And I tried it all over Boston just to compare. No comparison! I love the shrimp and grits here too. Their salads are about the freshest I've had anywhere, with a big variety. Shrimp salad is very tasty and ample. The booths have been reupholstered, and with the new smoking time frame, is one of our favorite, regular restaurants to visit w/ kids. Hey, did I mention how good the she-crab soup is????

Nothing Special. I went to this restaurant with my husband to have breakfast since it won the best breakfast 2007. I was very disappointed because, portions are too small. The steak for instance looks like it belongs in a kids meal. The eggs and the pancakes were good but nothing really to crave about. The service wasn't bad, but you can easily tell that if you are not a white soccer mom like the ones the place is full of, they won't treat you as good. I've definitely been into better restaurants and I've had better breakfasts.
