This is a great hangout for UNCC students with cabin fever. Located in Northeast Charlotte, the park features trails and naturalist-guided hikes. Recreational facilities include an 18-hole disc-golf course, softball and soccer fields, and outdoor basketball and volleyball courts. A seven-acre lake on site provides water fun and a vista. Several fishing ponds challenge anglers and there's playground equipment for the kids. Don't miss the hands-on nature exhibits and butterfly garden in the Environmental Center.
