Upscale steakhouses are all the rage in this banker's town. Places like Morton's, Sullivan's and Capital Grille stay packed every night, serving up huge cuts of beef and prodigious amounts of alcohol in a men's-club setting. If you want a real meal, though, make yourself a reservation at the Beef & Bottle.
The Food
If ever the word fabulous could be applied to food, it could be applied to B&B's oysters Rockefeller. Any further description would only point out the inadequacy of the English language when it comes to expressing bliss. The steaks aren't bad either, generously cut and cooked right, without that trendy seared outside. Ignore your cholesterol numbers for one night and give this subdued, sophisticated place a try.

This place is such a wonderful restaurant. Don't be shy from the outer appearance. Walking through the doors, take you back to the Rat Pack era. The staff always goes beyond to please the customer. Make sure you do reservations!

This is one of my favorite steak places. The outside looks like a total dive but don't be fooled. The inside is very old school and nice. The food is awesome! You get a lot and it is totally worth the price!

11-08-2008 I am local to Charlotte. I was born here and have been going to Beef and Bottle my entire life. It used to be great. THINGS HAVE CHANGED!!! Tonight for my mother's birthday the service was terrible. The waitress was absolutely rude and sloppy. She dropped items on the table and us, took a long time to do everything, and was generally a rude B*&$H. I would recommend to go to Del Fresco's or Morton's if you want to spend your money on a memorable dinner. It is very sad to see such a great place get so bad.
